GET Training & Orientation Programme
SONA-KMC Learning Center at Salem, Yercaud, Tamilnadu.
The new employee orientation program effectively helps integrate new employee into KMC with ease. The program assists associates with grass-root understanding of company policies and practices. The orientation also helps quickly enable each individual to become contributing members of the work team. An important initiative to bring in, mould and cultivate fresh talent into the organization, KMC recruits fresh B. Tech /B.E from campuses across the country the role of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET).
The year started with a Training & Orientation Program for Civil Batches during Sept – Oct 2011 representing Graduates Engineer’s undergoing the training program for six days. Aptly called ‘Parichay’, the First Batch Training & Orientation Program saw 24 GET’s from the civil stream undergoing the orientation program. The Second Batch of 23 GET’s from Civil got inducted and trained in the respective functional areas in the following weeks.
The Induction (Parichay) program was conducted at SONA – KMC Learning Center, Yercaud near Salem in Tamilnadu.
GET’s from Mechanical stream underwent their Parichay – Training & Orientation Program between 7th Nov.- 12th Nov.2011. The trainers and experts for this focused training were drawn from KMC partners & vendors like Schwing Stetter, Volvo, Metso, Wirtgen, Ashok Lelyand, Castrol, JK Tyres, Gmmco Pvt. Ltd. Etc.., This apart the mechanical GET’s also had the opportunity to visit the JCB Training and service centre during the orientation program to get a first hand practical insight on workshop & maintenance handling.
One the key highlights of the “Parichay” is been the interaction that GET’s had with various functional Heads from different vertical domains across KMC.
